Job Description

We are seeking a qualified First Assist Operating Room Nurse to provide essential support in a fast-paced surgical environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the surgical team and ensuring optimal patient care throughout the surgical process.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team during operations as a First Assist.
• Prepare the operating room and ensure necessary equipment is available.
• Provide direct patient care and support during surgical procedures.
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow all safety protocols.
• Communicate effectively with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of current First Assist Operating Room experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• Active Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• Must have a valid vehicle for transportation.
