Perioperative Nursing - Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA)

Schedule: 7:00AM - 5:00PM x 4
Term: 16-week assignment with the potential for extension
Pay Rate: $101 - $109/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a OR for a temporary assignment in Chico, California. These positions are 16-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a OR:

• Render direct patient care as a licensed professional in the perioperative role by functioning as a first assistant to the surgeon
• Practice an expanded role of perioperative nursing, applying acquired knowledge, skills, and judgment necessary to assist the surgeon
• Assist the surgeon through organized instruction and supervised practice
• Practice under the supervision of the surgeon in the Operating Room and Labor and Delivery Suite as a First Assistant
• Complete credentialing process through the Medical Staff office (minimum 6-8 week processing time)
• Maintain Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification
• Maintain current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
• Maintain current CPR certification
• Maintain current ACLS recognition
• Float as needed within applicable departments
