Position Overview

As a Surgical Assistant, your primary responsibility is to assist our team in delivering quality patient care through safe, efficient clinical practices, including proper instrument passing, monitoring, and supporting daily clinical operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care & Preparation: Prepares treatment rooms adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols; takes and records patient vital signs (blood pressure, respiration rate, etc.).
• Surgical & Clinical Support: Assists providers with surgical procedures, transfers instruments properly, prepares surgical dressings, and takes dental radiographs.
• Monitoring: Monitors patients and vital signs during and after surgical procedures as applicable.
• Administrative Duties: Enters patient treatment data into the computer system, prepares consent forms, and provides post-operative care instructions.
• Safety & Maintenance: Cleans, maintains, and sterilizes equipment and instruments; maintains a safe and clean working environment in compliance with OSHA infection control policies.
• Team Collaboration: Works closely with colleagues and management (Azi Eshraghi and Brittanie Becraft) to maintain a smooth, efficient daily workflow.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education / Experience: Must have either graduated from a dental assisting school OR possess 6 months to 1 year of hands-on dental experience.
• Mindset: A positive, upbeat attitude, a strong commitment to teamwork, and a desire for long-term career growth.

Work Schedule & Location Details

• Hours: Full-Time, averaging 36 to 40 hours per week.
• Days & Times: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:45 AM to 5:00 PM (Huddle time included).
• Days Off: Wednesdays and weekends off.
• Travel: Travel to other company locations is required only when the Holly Springs location is closed and assistance is needed elsewhere.
  
  • Mileage is fully provided.
  • If an employee works 5 days in a given period, an additional travel bonus is available.

Compensation, Benefits & Perks

• Bonus Incentive: Special bonus provided after a successful 90-day period.
• Uniform Allowance: $150 yearly allowance provided through Smart Scrubs.
