ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse First Assistant, Operating Room (Day Shift) in Rancho Mirage, California.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Available shifts include 4/10s (06:30 - 17:00) or 3/12s (06:30 - 19:00). Call and float are required with weekend coverage every other weekend.

Job Description

This position entails working in a dynamic environment across various surgical units, including Ambulatory PACU, Operating Room, Orthopedics, Outpatient Surgery, Pre/Post Op, and Radiology. The role requires flexibility in floating to multiple units as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure instrumentation is processed appropriately.
• Participate in pre-operative and post-operative care of patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide optimal patient care.
• Count sponges and related items with the circulating nurse.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute hospital operating room setting.
• Previous charge experience is required.
• Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS and CRNFA certifications required.
• California RN license must be valid at the time of submittal.
