Monday to Friday, 07:00 AM to 03:00 PM with regular on-call rotation for weekends required.

Job Description

Join Valley View Medical Center's Perioperative Services team as a Surgical First Assistant. This state-of-the-art facility is equipped with six major operating rooms in a 126,000 square foot hospital, offering comprehensive surgical services in multiple specialties. You will work alongside skilled surgeons in various procedures, focusing on patient safety and high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures in OB, GYN, General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, and Podiatry.
• Maintain sterile environments and assist in the preparation of surgical instruments.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient assessments and provide support during recovery.
• Document patient information according to facility policies.

Required Experience

Minimum of 1 year post training experience as a Surgical First Assistant.

Certifications/Licensure

Must be a Certified First Assistant.
