ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA), Operating Room (Call) in Orange, California.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Candidates should be prepared for an estimated 8 days of on-call duty during a 6-week schedule. This includes kidney call rotation from Monday to Friday, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and 24-hour kidney call on weekends from 6:00 AM to 6:00 AM. General call rotation is also required on weekends from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on holidays from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with no kidney call on holidays. Candidates may work either 4x10 or 3x12 shifts.

Job Description

The RNFA will play a critical role in the Operating Room, assisting in various surgical procedures. The position requires proficiency in multiple specialties, including robotics, bariatric, general, colorectal, ortho/spine, vascular, urology, gynecology, and transplant. Candidates should be prepared to support patient care in a high-paced environment, collaborating closely with surgeons and other OR staff.

Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons in the operating room, scrubbing and circulating during various procedures.
  • Maintain high standards of surgical care and patient safety.
  • Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative evaluations.
  • Handle surgical instruments and ensure a sterile environment.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as required.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in scrubbing and circulating in the Operating Room.
  • Previous charge experience preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

  • BLS certification required.
  • Current California RN license required.
  • CRNFA certification preferred.
