Job Summary
The Talent Sourcer is responsible for identifying, engaging, and cultivating top talent to support UMMS’s strategic hiring goals. This role partners closely with Talent Advisors, HR Business Partners, and hiring leaders to deliver proactive sourcing strategies, provide talent market insights, and build strong candidate pipelines for critical roles across the health system. The Talent Sourcer plays a pivotal role in advancing UMMS’s mission by ensuring the organization has access to diverse, high-quality talent that meets both current and future workforce needs.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Partner with Talent Advisors and hiring leaders to understand role requirements, define candidate profiles, and align sourcing strategies with organizational goals.
• Proactively source and engage high-quality talent through marketplace analytics, professional networks, social media, job boards, and candidate relationship management (CRM) systems.
• Build and maintain robust talent pipelines to support immediate and long-term hiring needs.
• Deliver insights on talent availability, competitor trends, to inform recruitment strategies and influence hiring decisions.
• Conduct thorough audience analysis to segment, target, and tailor outreach strategies that resonate with specific candidate populations and drive stronger engagement.
• Leverage strong writing skills to craft compelling, high-quality content for candidate outreach, including email campaigns, social media messaging, job postings, and other recruitment-related communications.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute recruitment-related events, managing logistics from end to end and partnering with both event and print vendors to deliver seamless, high-impact candidate experiences.
• Craft compelling candidate outreach that reflects UMMS’s employer brand and Employee Value Proposition.
• Collaborate with the employer brand and recruitment marketing to ensure sourcing strategies align with overall talent attraction initiatives.
• Coordinate and plan talent acquisition events (career fairs, networking sessions, virtual hiring events) to strengthen pipelines and promote UMMS as an employer of choice.
• Deploy CRM campaigns through email and text messaging to engage, nurture, and convert candidates within the talent pipeline.
• Track and analyze sourcing metrics to assess pipeline health, improve effectiveness, and optimize return on investment.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on sourcing techniques, tools, and platforms, sharing best practices and coaching Talent Acquisition colleagues as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Experience - Required
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Talent Acquisition, Recruiting, or Sourcing, preferably within a large, matrixed organization or agency environment.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining pipelines and leveraging CRM technology to capture and share candidate data.
• Proven writing expertise with the ability to create compelling outreach content across multiple formats, including email, social media, and recruitment marketing materials.
• Experience in event management and planning, including coordinating logistics, working with vendors, and executing recruitment or talent engagement events.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
• Working knowledge of applicant tracking systems, candidate relationship management platforms, and sourcing technologies.
• Strong understanding of sourcing techniques, including Boolean search logic, social recruiting, and talent mapping.
• Ability to analyze market and competitor intelligence and translate it into actionable recruitment strategies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage passive candidates and influence stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfort with ambiguity and adaptability to thrive in a complex, matrixed healthcare system.
• Demonstrated ability to foster collaboration, build trust, and influence at all levels of the organization.
• Inquisitive and data-driven mindset, with the ability to measure and optimize sourcing outcomes.
• Advanced skill in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Pay Range: $62,940 - $88,129
