Job Description
Under limited supervision, assesses, analyzes, evaluates, and recommends solutions for operational and clinical issues. Works collaboratively with other departments to support and define inter-departmental initiatives and to ensure effective resources utilization. Supervises assigned Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center Medical Assistants and Patient Care Technicians assuring quality patient interaction and efficient and effective work processes in collaboration with assigned medical staff in accordance with UMMC policies and procedures. Undertakes special projects, as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent, required. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration or equivalent preferred
Minimum 1 year clinical experience as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist or Patient Care Technician
Current Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy certification, or Patient Care Technician license required.
