$15,000 Sign on Bonus (3 yr commitment)

Schedule: 5x8, Day (6:30 am – 3:00 pm), Monday - Friday

How you’ll contribute 

A Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) who excels in this role: 

  • Provides direct assistance to the surgeon(s) during surgical procedures.
  • Positions patients to give best exposure for surgical procedures, using stabilizing equipment, when necessary, while maximizing patient comfort and safety.
  • Provides visualization of the operative site using appropriate methods, including manipulation of tissue and materials, retraction, sponging, suctioning, and irrigation.
  • Utilizes appropriate techniques to achieve temporary and permanent hemostasis.
  • Assists with body plane closure, application of wound dressings, and securing of drainage systems.

 What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Arizona Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting and Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required. Associate's Degree Preferred. Minimum of 1 year of CSFA experience required.

Additional requirements include:

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire
  • Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Licenses: Certified Surgical First Assist (CSFA) with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
  • Education: Associate degree Preferred; Graduate of a Program in Discipline Required
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of CSFA experience required.
